I was the skinniest kid in school. "You should eat more, it looks like you're starving", was a phrase that even the adults somehow felt was perfectly fine to tell me every day. At 13 years old, calling people names started to become a thing. Making fun of the kid built like a hockey stick was not hard. The insults wrote themselves. Easy target practice. I felt f*cking sick to my stomach. I didn't want to be that guy anymore. It was time to make a change. I got myself a pair of dumbells and a obsessive interest in learning everything there was to building muscle. Every day and I mean every damn day, I would be in my room, learning new exercises and going crazy with my dumbells. Over the course of several years, I became less and less of an easy name-calling target, until they had no effect on me anymore. Because it was no longer true. Everyone could see it. Getting those dumbells 12 years ago and joining a gym, changed my life. It was the best decision I've ever made. It could be yours too
