When scaling your business, it is tempting to only focus on the top end of town; big customers with big budgets could change the trajectory of your business overnight…right? Maybe. While there’s no doubt enterprise-level sales can deliver outsized value, I’ve built my career in unleashing the power of SMB sales. Why? 1. There’s never-ending untapped potential in the SMB market as they contribute up to 50% of the GDP in Australia, the US, Canada and New Zealand. 2. A company that’s able to demonstrate traction with a high volume of SMB sales, can send invaluable credibility signals to the rest of the market. 3. I love the agility and speed of demand generation for SMB sales. Working to close deals efficiently with a high-performance team is what gets me out of bed in the morning. 4. When you solve problems for SMBs, you can see the real positive impact on these businesses and their communities almost immediately. Having been brought up in a family that runs two successful businesses in rural Australia, I intimately understand the needs of an SME business owner. After all, I am one myself - having started Fruity Boys in 2021 and built a successful AirBnB portfolio with my partner Michael. Through this experience, I’ve come to understand that SMBs often struggle to implement the technology advancements they need to compete with larger competitors, either due to a lack of resources, time or knowledge. This is why I’m passionate about leading teams that partner with SMB owners to understand their problems and provide the support they need to make the right decision for their business to scale quickly, and profitably. I have three years of experience building and leading Demand Generation and Account executive teams and get a thrill out of guiding others to success in their roles and careers more broadly. In my current role at Sine by Honeywell I’m responsible for driving pipeline growth across the business as well as leading SMB growth objectives.
