A strategic and operational role, working closely with policy and operational colleagues across the Council in central government, local authorities (LAs) nationally, NHS ICB/ICS and corporates to identify best practices and opportunities for further work on digital inclusion as well as developing frameworks, guidance, training and support for teams to embed DI into how they deliver services for the public and staff.

Digital Inclusion Lead Officer

•	Research and review current employment, training, and skills provision for 16–24-year-olds in Essex and develop strategic partnerships to maximise current provision or commission new projects to fill gaps.
•	Manage and inform on LMI data to ensure provision meets demands and work across teams supporting young people ‘on the ground’ to 
•	Responsible for digital innovation and IT reporting (skills) to internal working group
•	Responsible for the CMA bid for levelling up in Harlow and the management of Work Local project
•	Manage skills related social values, incorporating Gatsby benchmarks to support matching contract providers with school/college/training provider requirements
•	Support Essex Universities and ECC’s Entry to Work Team in delivering employability workshops and presentations

Key Achievements
•	Recognised internally and externally as a ‘Gen Z Guru’ shortlisted for Gen Z Supporter of the Year 2021
•	Successfully brokered 2000 free mentoring sessions for 500 young people (18-24) in Essex delivered by the Youth Group at a social value of £200k
•	Created the Savvy Applicant 7ps – a free resource supporting young people and their potential employers in understanding what they want/need from recruitment
•	Created, set-up and managed a successful, first-of-its kind online Christmas market for small Essex businesses in partnership with Colbea and Natwest – reached 2000 residents and drove new business to participants
•	Created, set-up and managed a successful, first-of-its kind social care hackathon in partnership with Gen Z Talks and association with Skills for Care and ACL Essex.  
•	Having researched and reviewed the benefits, signed ECC up to the Tech Talent Charter and Youth Employment UK’s ‘Good Youth Employment Charter’ - encouraging young people to apply for Early Entry roles and winning ECC an award.

Responsible for managing and running a marketing campaign for Royal & SunAlliance’s 2007/08 Global Graduate Programme – running across 13 countries. Managed marketing budgets. Project Manager for the UK China Graduate Work Experience Programme. This involved marketing opportunities, screening applications, organising and conducting competency based interviews in China, liaising with employers, assisting in organising contracts and pastoral care. Also assisted in marketing, screening of applications and organising of interviews/offers for the Cisco AS Graduate Recruitment Campaign. Maintained WCN and EMT recruitment/application management systems and content management systems.

Managed 2 other team members and ensured that interview availability for London, Eastern Counties, South and North Business Units were efficiently sourced. Maintained GTI Graduate Recruitment Management System. Provided reports on interview and Regional Audit information to senior management and acted as Graduate Recruitment Officer in 6 months interim. Travelled between UK offices to run and assess e-tray events and group exercises. Facilitated and assessed paper based psychometric tests. Provided feedback on candidates and recommended offer of employment/rejections. Provided school Leaver event presentations and attended KPMG Live Events.
