I'm made for a career in marketing like a puddle is made for the hole it finds itself in. This means that although it looks planned out and perfect, the journey to get here was a bit more Squiggly™️ in reality. After a few tries at teaching, waitressing, journalism, parenting, writing, researching and editing, I ended up in Marketing and here I can satisfy my FBI dreams by building killer customer profiles in the style of detective files. I like marketing because I like people, and marketing is for people, and to people, hopefully never at people. I like LinkedIn because I learn something on here everyday, I have made connections and got opportunities that I never would have without this network. Working with Contented Brothers has been an anchor in the storm of the past few years, and to mix a nautical metaphor, what a safe boat to have been sailing in. I have gained skills, connections, qualifications, confidence, friends, knowledge, resilience and experience. Having come from video production agency roots, I have seen the company flourish and grow into a video-powered SEO machine. Everything we do has to be rewarding or fun, and sticking to this mantra has served us well, giving us projects with SAP, National Parks, Compare the Market, Tesco, and Refugee Action. Getting the word out about what Contented Brothers are doing, and how we can help people be better Marketers, has been both fun and rewarding for me personally as well.
