I studied at the Royal Veterinary College and Middlesex University from 2006-2010, where I was able to work across first opinion, mixed and referral practice. Since becoming a RVN I have worked in first opinion, exotics (in Hong Kong) and mixed practice and have gained the Cert VNES for nursing exotic species (2012). I have taught Level 3 Diploma students and gained a Level 3 Award in Education and Teaching. I then went on to study for the PGCert in Vet Education with the RVC. I am passionate about human factors in practice, and how much of an impact our words and experiences can have on one another. I am keen to learn more about leadership, and I feel that Nonviolent communication (NVC) has a place in veterinary practice and veterinary education. Throughout my recent study I have focused on professional identity and hope to be able to get involved in research regarding my passions.
