EDITORIAL OVERSIGHT & QUALITY CONTROL

ACQUISITIONS—Identify and acquire suitable manuscripts or content for publication. 
Editing and Proofreading—Review and edit manuscripts for clarity, grammar, style, and accuracy, ensuring consistency with the publication's standards. 
DEVELOPMENTAL & LINE EDITING—Oversee the structure, flow and narrative of the content, providing feedback and suggestions to authors. 
COPYEDITING—Check for grammatical errors, punctuation and style inconsistencies. 
FACT-CHECKING—Verify the accuracy of information and sources within the content. 
STYLE GUIDES—Develop and maintain style guides to ensure consistency across all content. 

TEAM LEADERSHIP & COLLABORATION

TEAM MANAGEMENT—Mentor and supervise editorial staff, providing guidance and support. 
COLLABORATION—Work closely with writers, designers, production staff and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and successful publication. 
COMMUNICATION—Effectively communicating editorial policies, guidelines, and feedback to authors, editors, and other stakeholders. 

ADDT'L RESPONSIBILITIES

PROJECT MANAGEMENT—Oversee the entire publishing process from acquisition to publication, managing deadlines and ensuring timely delivery. 
BUDGET MANAGEMENT—Work within budget constraints and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. 
INDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE—Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in editing and publishing. 
NEGOTIATION—Negotiate contracts with authors and other collaborators. 
CONTENT STRATEGY—Develop and implement content strategies for both internal and external audiences.

I am a marketing strategist, writer/editor, and the founder of Lightbulb Moments Press—an independent publishing house dedicated to amplifying the voices of women, LGBTQ folks, and people of color. With a deep background in digital marketing and brand storytelling, I help changemakers and mission-driven leaders and organizations rise into their full power—with Curiosity, Courage, Creativity and Commitment.

My work lives at the intersection of equity, creativity, and strategy—amplifying underrepresented voices, empowering women and LGBTQ leaders, and building brands that matter.

In 2023, I listened to the pull of my lifelong dream. I started building Lightbulb Moments Press as a branch of JSQ—a space to amplify the voices of women, LGBTQ and BIPOC thought leaders. I wanted to create more than a publishing company—I wanted to create a safe space for storytellers who have waited too long to be seen.

My approach to book coaching and publishing is visceral and deeply personal. I don’t just help our clients write books—I walk with them through the messy, exhilarating process: from unearthing the raw truth of their stories to shaping those truths into books that pulse with purpose. 

And the journey doesn’t end at the final edit. I guide our authors beyond the page—from manuscript to marketing and beyond—bringing their books into the world full circle with marketing, promotions, and local book tours—harnessing J Squared Communications to ensure their voices don’t just land, but create a ripple effect that pushes their books far out into the world.

I know the power of stories to heal, to build community, and to spark change. My approach to book coaching and publishing is deeply personal: I meet you where you are, walk with you through every stage of the journey, and help you bring your most dynamic work to life.

I don’t believe in playing small or coloring inside the lines. I believe in bold action, creative risk, and building communities—not just audiences. Because at the end of the day, my work isn’t just about visibility; it’s about voice. And I’m here to help people magnify theirs.
