Hi! I’m Jevin –– scientist turned career advisor.

How did I get here?

I didn’t have a career advisor in undergrad, but I definitely needed one!

After I graduated, I wasn’t sure what to do. 

I spent 14 years trying out jobs/academia that I thought I wanted to do, but ended up not sticking with. 

In my postdoc, I joined a professional development group for grad students at UW (WiSolve) and started bringing in guest speakers to share their career stories. On top of that, I started doing informational interviews to learn about possible career paths, and while they were scary at first, I started to love them and ended up doing nearly 100.

Along the way, I learned that I actually enjoy helping people discover career paths. 
Also, I learned strategies to find jobs and understand if they’re a good fit. 
I want to share those with students, so they can save the time and find something that sticks.

So, I hope to be the career advisor I never had.
