The Wilderness Society

-	Direct programs across Colorado by providing leadership, guidance and support to TWS staff in Colorado, national campaign leads and other multi-disciplinary staff including government relations, science, field, communications and philanthropy

Citizens for a Healthy Community

- Oversee day-to-day operations of a 450+ member grassroots conservation non-profit, whose mission is to protect people and their environment from irresponsible oil and gas development in the Delta County, Colorado region
- Responsibilities include commenting on federal, state, and local proposed rules, legislation, and oil and gas development projects; program and staff management; strategic planning, community organizing, and communications; serving as a spokesperson to the media and a liaison to diverse stakeholders; fundraising, grant-writing, budgeting, and financial oversight; and event planning and implementation
- Party representative to Colorado Oil & Gas Conservation Commission rulemakings regarding baseline groundwater sampling and setbacks between oil and gas operations and building units
- Successfully developed, fundraised for, and implemented a cutting-edge, baseline air sampling project to test the air for chemicals related to oil and gas development
- Co-Chair of the community stakeholder group that crafted the North Fork Alternative Plan, a set of management recommendations to the BLM’s Uncompahgre Field Office, for consideration in creating a new Resource Management Plan; primary author of the 102-page management recommendations contained in the Alternative Plan

- Conducted fiscal analysis of the biennial state budget, which includes in-depth reports and short issue updates, and conducted fiscal analysis of bills, on issues including child welfare, mental health, substance abuse, the medical professions, and Medicaid
- Managed and coordinated office-wide research requests and reports, including supervising the Health Groups’ legislative fellow and peer reviewing other assignments
- Responded to requests for information issued by legislators, their aides, and caucus staff by researching and writing policy memoranda for both a legislative audience and the public
- Utilized data management programs including Microsoft Excel and Access to analyze complex budgeting issues and produce research reports

- Created and managed a Microsoft Access database that contained more than 500 records of program participants’ contact information, event attendance, and other information
- Assisted in supervision and management of staff members’ participation in projects 
- Developed new ideas and programs with the program manager to help minority and under-represented students prepare for their post-baccalaureate option
- Evaluated students’ mentoring relationship progress over the course of the academic year through an original survey of quantitative and qualitative metrics
