Analyst with 7 years of experience in Credit Research and Portfolio Management. As a credit analyst, my strength is in identifying and understand the business and financial characteristic of the firms I cover. I am well versed in the identification of alpha through security selection both in the secondary and primary market. As an analyst, my coverage includes both financial and non-financials in Asia and I have deepened my credit expertise through Fitch's courses in Restructuring, Advanced Financial Modelling and Intensive Bank Analysis. I have a strong history of working with different programming languages; Stata, R, VBA, Python and have leveraged on data analytics/ visualization in my work as an investment analyst. Recognizing the potential of data science and machine learning in the realm of Credit Research and Portfolio Management, I have furthered my knowledge in data science. To date, I have completed the Data scientist track on Data Camp, Google's data analytics professionals (R programming) and Institute of Data (IOD)'s course in artificial intelligence and data science. My formal training with Institute of Data teaches me how to think like a data scientist and evaluate different machine learning algorithms with statistics. These new skills in machine learning and modeling helps me add value through a thorough, rigorous and data driven approach towards investment and business problems.
