I am a chilean/texan filmmaker based in Austin TX. Since 9 years old I am a very big Star Wars fan and thanks to that saga I discovered my passion for filmmaking and storytelling. I studied Film & TV Direction at University of Chile, from where I graduated in 2015. In the next 5 years I worked in brand activations and corporate video projects, where I started to develop my professional skills as camera operator, location sound recordist and video editor. In 2021 I started J.I.Mardones Films, my videography company specialized in cinematic short video creation, and one year later I moved from Santiago de Chile to Austin TX in order to find new oportunities and consolidate my career as filmmaker.
