I joined VIE Healthcare Consulting in 2018 and bring to the role over a decade of critical care nursing experience at highly regarded medical facilities across three states. During my time at the bedside, I observed both the ‘good and bad’ of hospital operations in a number of regions, giving me a unique insight and perspective, which I am excited to bring to VIE Healthcare Consulting’s clients. Patient care and the patient experience is a top priority for me. Throughout my career, I have observed that keeping patients at the center of healthcare can transform the patient experience and lead to success for any health system, big or small. I served as chair for my unit education council at Hershey Medical Center and while at Stanford Hospital, I was extensively involved in training staff on patient care with Ventricular Assist Devices and Total Artificial Hearts. These experiences reinforced the importance of education and preparation at the bedside but also across every area of the healthcare industry. Keeping the patient first means being flexible and adapting to the needs of any given situation. Underpinning my drive for meeting patient needs is an understanding of the critical requirements for clear and direct communication within and between healthcare organizations. I have a BS in Nursing from Messiah University and a Master’s in Health Education from Penn State. I have 7 years of critical care experience at Hershey Medical Center (PA) and Stanford Hospital & Clinics (CA) and 3 years of PACU/perioperative/surgery center experience in NJ.
