Directed 120 employees across 3 separate facilities for all production activities including fabrication, welding, powder coating, final assembly and shipping.  Improved labor productivity by establishing key metrics and deploying lean techniques.  Improved plant operations by training employees in welding process, product quality procedures, and welding certification standards.

Administered plant operations and managed 130+ employees across all production and distribution.  Main processes included 2D and 3D wire forming, powder coating and packaging. Instituted change management procedures such as new policies and procedures, process improvements, and safety initiatives. Designed a 3-year capital investment plan designed to optimize cost, lead time, and support growth.

Irwin Industrial Tools

Headed 24/7 operational support for 175+ employees in the production of premium hand tools such as taps, dies, step drills and extractors.  The main processes involved with this operation were milling, grinding, laser etching, heat treating and packaging.  Instituted a culture of safety in the plant by using tools such as a safety tracker, tool crib, MicroMain Maintenance Software, and a 6S program.

Shur-Line

Coordinated a three shift operation including 5 supervisors and 150 hourly employees. Prepared and executed annual budget for all manufacturing departments.  Organized and maintained safety and housekeeping program, utilizing 29 auditors on a monthly basis. 

Additional experience as a Project Engineer/Quality Leader (2008– 2010), a Buyer/Planner (2007 – 2008), and a Production Supervisor (2005 – 2007) for Shur-Line Newell-Rubbermaid, a manufacturer of painting accessories.
