I'm a tech culture journalist. Through writing, marketing, and live event hosting, panel hosting and podcast hosting, I help to share the stories where culture and technology collide and to translate the impact of the tech we are building. I've been a working writer since 2003. My 2023 has been all about how orgs are trying to increase developer productivity, via platform engineering and generative AI. Right now I'm "translating" the value of/analyzing the impact of cloud-native infrastructure and mindset, developer productivity / platform engineering, tech layoffs and tech recruitment, open source communities, developer experience / DevRel / developer advocacy, SRE / site reliability engineering, progressive delivery, tech ethics, diversity and inclusion, accessibility, DevOps and agile company culture. I am a strong flexible work, a11y, and DEIB advocate. I'm a New Jersey native who's spent post-uni life living and working in great European cities — Madrid, Barcelona, and for awhile now London. I've a U.S. passport, UK settled status, and EU right to work.
