Cyber and IT risks affect everyone—businesses, governments, and individuals. The headlong rush toward digital business models has made these risks timelier and more dangerous than ever. Every organization, large or small, is faced with increased threats resulting from expanded digital ecosystems. The complexity of typical applications and business partnerships, coupled with the growing use of cloud computing, means an increased incidence of threats to proprietary, technology, and intellectual property assets. This is undeniably a complex subject. Cyber risk impacts all of us, and I consider it my mission to convey the issues surrounding it in a clear, compelling manner. That’s why I make a point to break it down into easily understandable and digestible parts. Over my career, I have developed a reputation for being a charismatic, engaging, and authentic leader with strengths in “telling it like it is” while being mindful of the opinions and feelings of others. Most recently a Vice President in Gartner’s Cybersecurity and Risk Management Group, I honed my understanding of cybersecurity through detailed research and analysis while building relationships with strategic business leaders in the field. I co-led and created Gartner’s research that highlighted the security mandate to the executive board level, delivering actionable security metrics and crafting a maturity model for cybersecurity, which has been adopted by thousands of clients globally. For four years, I was involved in creating and delivering more than 500 presentations that drove an 18% increase in the NPS score. Moreover, I participated in 30 Gartner events and consistently ranked in the top 10% of all company speakers. I recently joined Black Kite, an innovative company redefining third-party risk management around the globe. I am excited about this next phase and can’t wait to add value to a growing company as it defines the future of the field.
