I specialised in complex research and in the application of state of the art methodologies to Educational Research Projects . In recognition of my exceptional performance I was awarded organizational bonuses in 2018 and 2019.

Projects I took part in include:
Research pieces that called for the application of complex statistical and econometric methods (survival analysis, structural equation modelling, mediation and moderation models, instrumental variables and quasi-experimental designs) to the analysis of educational and large scale assessment data.
Monitorization and quality assurance of multiple databases of International Large Scale Assessment data, including  PISA 2018, in collaboration with the Department of Education of  Northern Ireland.
Designing an internal strategic plan for the introduction and implementation of Artificial Intelligence  methodologies in NFER's Research Group and Assessment Centre.
Analysis of  open ended questionnaires, surveys and twitter data using Natural Language Processing (NLP) methodologies.
Management of the statistical and psychometric team in charge of developing the  transition from paper based to to electronic assessment (e Assessment) platform of reading and maths tests.
Development of  suits of tests aimed at primary school children  using Applied Item Response Theory (IRT) models.
Being the project statistician for several  educational randomized controlled trials. This work included not only the analysis of  data but also the design of trial protocols and statistical analysis plans, as  well as the writing of reports and delivering presentations to clients and stake-holders.
Undertaking the piloting of novel trial designs, cross-over designs and meta-analyses, as part of a feasibility study commissioned by the  Education Endowment Fund (EEF) -the Teacher Choices trials.

Computational Fluid Dynamics research on the dynamics and life cycle of salt-fingers, a geophysical phenomenon that contributes to the vertical transport of heat and salt in the oceans and influences climate and oceanic dynamics.  I have created computational models of salt fingers and analysed their evolution and life cycles using a combination of analytic and direct numerical simulation methods.

I have liaised with a team of economists and social scientists specialising in measuring social impact, to integrate quantitative and statistical  methodologies in the assessment of the impact of social projects, including a long term evaluation of a national level Red Cross social intervention project aiming to support low income households at risk of social exclusion (Portugal ) 
As part of my work, I have also designed data collection tools, applied quantitative and statistical methodologies to quantify social return on investment (SROI), and analysed surveys and questionnaires.

Consultant on statistics, quantitative methods and design of data collecting tools for  UNICEF's "Life Skills Teaching and Learning" and "Research on Out of School Children (OSC)" flagship projects in Angola. As part of the projects' engagement with stakeholders aspect, I have also provided technical support on survey and quantitative methodologies to the Provincial Government of Huila Province.
