Current responsibilities include controlling and managing site access, travel and accommodation for contractors, consultants and new hires. These also extend to monitoring , controlling and maintaining costs for MMJV’s major project Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) where costing of equipment and man-hours as well as materials and supplies - both internal and external – are done and allocated to correct cost/project codes. Monthly contractor cost reports for invoicing and service unit meter (SMU) readings for these cost allocations is also done. General admin duties are performed which includes overseeing of administration staff, assisting employees in obtaining and filling out forms necessary for administrative, payroll and HR purposes and also providing assistance to the department heads.

As safety is paramount, miscellaneous roles include registering of site safety tools for record-keeping using the Integrated Business Information System (IBIS) as well as maintaining and updating records of safety statistics.

Project Control Supervisor

Bismark Ramu Group

Performed basic accounting function such as bank reconciliations, raise payments, prepare group tax, payroll as well as attended to other finance queries and other tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager, Coordinator and Technical Advisor. Given the nature of Bismark Ramu Group’s operations and interactions with the surrounding communities, the Finance Officer role extended to making travel arrangements and providing receipt acquittals from community facilitators.

Responsibilities included the preparation of petty cash/reconciliation, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable data entry as well as general office duties.
Implement a new process allocating, reconciling creditors invoices and train junior staff.
