As Pursuits Manager, I am responsible for the development of win strategies and the end-to-end pursuit management of our most significant opportunities. I am an integral part of the team supporting the development of bids and proposals in collaboration with the Global Pursuit Team, the wider Clients, Markets and Growth (CMG) team, partners, and other stakeholders. I contribute to the strategic growth of the firm by ensuring we are maximising our chances of winning complex, high value and strategic pursuits.
Responsibilities include:
~ Manage the end-to-end process for strategic pursuits from capture phase through to qualification, submission, presentation and bid debrief.
~ Champion Ashurst global pursuit methodology, drive best practice and foster continuous improvement across pursuits and bids.
~ Work closely with CMG team members to coach, advise and influence partners and other key stakeholders on opportunity qualification and pursuit strategy.
~ Lead the development of win strategies, considering relationship, commerciality, competitive positioning and pursuit intelligence.
~ Work in collaboration the Global Pursuits Team, wider CMG team, partners, and other stakeholders, to create a high-performing business development culture.
~ Work closely with the broader team on continuous improvement strategies.
~ Coach and mentor junior team members as they provide support on pursuit and bid delivery.

Across  offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Canberra and Cairns Holding Redlich provides a complete range of legal services for clients of all sizes including many of Australia’s largest public and private companies and all levels of government.
Working closely with the national and state heads of the firm’s various practice areas, including Construction, Infrastructure & Projects, Renewable Energy, Workplace Relations & Safety, Queensland Government and Local Government, I played an important role in developing and executing the firm’s business development (BD) strategy. My role involved implementing practice area, industry group and key client plans and working with partners and lawyers to provide commercial advice and execute the firm's overall strategy. This included:
•	Working with the Industry Chairs and key cross-practice industry focused partners on sector development,  driving the Renewable Energy, Government and Construction sector strategies to
maximise opportunities to grow revenue in line with the firm's overall strategic plan.
•	Working with partners to implement and progress key client plans with the primary objective of increasing existing client penetration.
•	Designing, developing and implementing integrated revenue-generating and profile-raising campaigns and thought- leadership, working collaboratively with the marketing and communications teams.
•	Identifying and co-ordinating cross-selling opportunities with other practice areas, industry groups and client teams.
•	Working closely with partners and lawyers to develop their personal BD plans in alignment with broader practice area strategies and evaluate progress.
•	Creating a business development culture within the firm, ensuring partners and lawyers understand the benefits of business development and are constantly identifying and pursuing opportunities. 
•	Developing an in-depth understanding of designated clients and sharing of that information within the firm.

Business Development Manager

Aurora Marketing - Tenders, Bids, Proposals, Submissions 

Aurora Marketing assists organisations of all shapes and sizes to win business through bids, tenders, proposals and submissions. They have won some of Australia’s biggest construction, infrastructure, manufacturing and services contracts, and worked with Australia’s best-known blue-chip companies including Downer, John Holland, CPB, Lendlease, BAE Systems, Keolis, Spotless, Serco, PwC and Suncorp. Aurora Marketing provides support to clients through live pursuits, process improvement projects, and training and development programs.
As a key member of the Aurora Marketing team, my role was to represent Aurora Marketing on client engagements and provide services to clients including content development, persuasive writing, pursuit strategies, editing, proof reading and bid coordination. 
•	Used marketing and business acumen to recommend more impactful solutions to market, whilst meeting the client's objectives
•	In consultation with client subject matter experts, created and implemented relevant bid tactics to ensure successful tender responses
•	Facilitated discovery sessions/workshops with project stakeholders to ‘unpack’ bid-winning strategies
•	Managed multiple client engagements simultaneously while adhering to tight deadlines.

My role supported a number of practice groups nationally by providing the full spectrum of business development and marketing services to ensure the firm developed and maintained strong relationships with new and existing clients in insurance & financial services, health, retirement villages & aged care, government, property, infrastructure and construction industries.
~ Developed client-centric go-to-market materials designed to support the achievement of MinterEllison’s strategic and operational objectives and executed campaigns to further develop the firm's market positioning
~ Supported Partners in assessing sales opportunities and formulating responses to clients, including leveraging support from Major Pursuits and Tenders teams as appropriate
~ Supported the growth of business development skills across the legal practitioners in the group through formal and informal coaching and guiding of interactions with clients and markets
~ Fostered relationships in broader CMG group that were collaborative, innovative and value adding and ensured high quality service delivery to the legal teams

Market Growth Manager (contract role)

SpecialCare Central Inc

SpecialCare Central is a non-profit organisation which seeks to connect people with special needs, their families and carers with service and product providers. My role was to provide strategic marketing advice and lead a small team of volunteers in marketing activities including the management of the website and social media sites, production of blog posts and coordinating events. I also provided input into the content of grant applications.

Norton Rose Fulbright is a global law firm providing the world’s preeminent corporations and financial institutions with a full business law service. 
My role was to act as a business development professional initially supporting the national Employment & Labour practice and subsequently the Insurance practice group, as well as a selection of key clients in BD and marketing activities in a way that is aligned with Norton Rose Fulbright’s go-to-market strategy
•	Successfully project managed Brisbane key client event which was described by one client as the “best event he had been to in Brisbane”, resulting in enhanced client relationships and leading to a new partnership with Queensland Ballet. 
•	Provided marketing and targeting advice as well as project management, research and communications support to the partners to aide in the efficient implementation of the firm strategy, Employment & Labour practice team business plan, individual partner plans and associated marketing programs.
•	Worked with Employment & Labour team partners to design and implement strategy around #MeToo and sexual harassment in the workplace. This is a fully integrated strategy including various forms of online communications, events, survey, white papers, brochures and more, and resulted in new business to the firm.
•	Provided strategic advice and support in the successful execution of Brisbane-based corporate sponsorship agreements such as QTIC and Queensland Ballet to ensure optimal ROI for the firm. 
•	Produced compelling capability and credentials documentation, tender and bid documents design to showcase the firm’s expertise and secure new business.
•	Evaluated marketing and BD strategies based on knowledge of firm objectives, market characteristics, and cost factors.
•	Engaged with partners to develop and execute client plan and account management activities for key client, Bank of Queensland, to ensure relationship was developed and revenue targets were met and exceeded.
