Hi, my name is Jochem. I am a tech entrepreneur, currently based in Indonesia. In the past 2 decades my focus has been to build tech driven companies. In the process I also advise promising companies and talented entrepreneurs. I was raised in a family of entrepreneurs. At a young age I learned the value of hard work, dedication and focus. I saw what it means to be an entrepreneur. I learned what it can give you and I witnessed what it can take from you. I started my entrepreneurial career in 2006, when I was still a student. I sold T-shirts online and did my marketing via social media. After I finished my MSc (Economic Sociology) in 2008, I decided I needed to think bigger. This is when I started Itsavirus. Initially Itsavirus was founded as a full service internet agency. In the heat of the credit crunch, Itsavirus was able to deliver answers to the challenges at that time. We helped clients to innovate, build new concepts and technologies. We quickly gained traction, worked with the world’s largest companies as well as fast growing medium sized companies and smart smart start-ups. Since 2014 we focussed on developing complex technological solutions. Since 2018 we specialized even further and decided to focus ourselves only on developing smart city related technology (mobility, logistics and web3). Using Itsavirus as an incubator I initiated a number of tech startups in Europe and Asia. For some of these startups we manage to raise capital, resulting in a successful spin-off. Itsavirus is currently based in 3 countries; Indonesia, Singapore and the Netherlands. At this moment we are opening an office in Thailand. Our entire development team is based in Indonesia. With a global presence, we are on a mission to become Europe’s and Asia’s leading smart city software house. We focus ourselves on developing mobility, logistics and web3 applications. Melalie is our in-house venture. Melalie is an open mobility marketplace. Our first hub is operational in Bali, Indonesia. We focus on electric vehicles only. Besides my work at Itsavirus and Melalie I help other companies and entrepreneurs to grow. I do this by sharing my knowledge on product development, more specifically on how to develop an MVP.
