A former trainer from the Mossad’s psychological unit once said something that stuck with me: People don’t usually break from failure itself - they break because of narrative shift.

It starts small:
“I messed up.” → “I’m messing everything up.” → “I am a mess.”

That mental drift destroys composure faster than exhaustion or pain ever could.  To stop it, Mossad agents are trained to use a cognitive anchor - a simple reset phrase.  

After a setback, they say: “Update. Data received.”

It reframes the moment. The brain stops treating failure as injury and starts treating it as information. Neuroscience backs this up - neutral labeling interrupts emotional spirals before they harden into identity.

Instructors said they could spot the trained minds immediately: after bad news, they didn’t flinch.  They’d tilt their head back, exhale, whisper “data received,” and move forward.

That is resilience - viewing setback as data.

My passion for growth and connection has inspired me for over 20 years in the business and not-for-profit sectors. I have consulted for many clients ranging from marketing professionals, up the ladder to the CEOs of small businesses and seed-funded start-ups, identifying missing resources and growth inhibitors, and creating a scale-up strategy in order to grow and market effectively. 

I founded and exited 2 businesses, started my own non-profit organization, Jewish International Connection, which runs successfully in four cities across two continents, and am often brought in to share my insight and experience with businesses and business students. I am very well-connected, having built a vast network and fostered relationships between people across the industry spectrum. I believe one of the keys to success is knowing how to powerfully network and effectively build relationships. 

As a business founder with two successful exits, I understand the need to effectively scale, the importance of critical thinking to drive the process, and the essential role of resilience and overcoming failure to succeed.

I am a fierce advocate for the disability community, often on speaking tours in front of international audiences on inclusion and other topics. My book, "Chutzpah, Wisdom, and Wine: Journey of an Unstoppable Woman", is a memoir in which I share stories of balancing life as an ambitious female entrepreneur, parenting three children (one of whom is a teenager with Down syndrome), and running over 200 events every year through my non-profit.

Today, the rise of Naz|sm in the United States of America with the anti Israel street mobs on one side and the Nick Fuentes Groypers on the other, there are too many people who know better and are silent. 

We cannot afford to go down the path the world went 90 years ago, a path of the cost the lives of 50 million people. 

The time to ferociously speak out against hate is now.

Israel is full of contradictions
That’s what makes it real.

How can a country at war still be in the world’s top 10 for happiness?

Yes, we have been through trauma.
Yes, there is grief, fear, uncertainty.
And still we are ranked among the happiest nations on earth.

How?

Because happiness here is not about calm. It is about connection.
About meaning.
About knowing your neighbor will bring you soup when your child is sick.
About singing together on balconies during lockdown.
About reservists showing up without hesitation.
About having strangers become family in one Shabbat meal.

In Israel we don’t wait for perfect conditions to live.
We laugh, we argue, we cry, we dance.
We build businesses while rockets fly. We celebrate weddings under sirens.
We hold each other tight.
We choose life, again and again.

Maybe happiness isn’t comfort. Maybe it is knowing what matters most and living like you mean it.

If you are thinking of building a life here, even with the noise, I understand you.
You are not crazy. You are probably just Israeli already.
