Scope of project includes completion of open projects, sale of excess equipment, stock and materials along with the HR and financial administration duties associated with closing a business.

With an approach that is both tactical and strategic in nature, my focus is on maximising output in a safe and cost effective way, while at the same time strengthening the businesses processes that will sustain that growth. 

The introduction of relevant  key process indicators, standardizing operations and quality reporting and realignment  of operations resources are key areas of focus.

TE Connectivity / Measurement Specialties

As Chief Operating Officer for Measurement Specialties, I had full operational responsibility for 23 Sensor manufacturing sites across Europe, Asia and North America.

Following the acquisition of Measurement Specialties by TE Connectivity (October 2014), I assumed full Operational responsibility for the newly established Sensor Solutions group with annual revenues of $800m.

My role included leading our purchasing, planning, production, manufacturing engineering, and warehousing teams, achieving our targeted sales safely, on time, on budget and to the highest level of quality possible.

Implementation of Lean Manufacturing systems, automation and utilising our most appropriate manufacturing locations (including China, Thailand and Mexico), and focusing on strategic sourcing initiatives, we ensured that we met our comittments to customers and shareholders. 

The Integration of Measurement Specialties into TE was a very significant initial area of focus. Alignment of Operational metrics, establishment of a common reporting system/dashboard ensured that all of the acquired legacy companies were aligned operationally to the TE business.
A particular emphasis was placed on EH&S. Implementing the organisational structures and systems to ensure our workplace is as safe as possible was our number one priority.

Improvements in delivery (to commit and promise), a focus on ECE (extraordinary customer experience), conversion cost improvement programs, quality improvement (DPPM reduction), Inventory turns improvement initiatives were all undertaken and delivered.

In 2009 Measurement Specialties established regional operational Directors (reporting to COO). In addition to running our Galway facility, I assumed full Operational responsibility for our EU Operations teams which consisted of 10 sensor manufacturing facilities in France, Germany, Ireland, Scotland and Switzerland. Annual revenues of $200m.

Establishing clear goals and objectives in line with overall company goals and objectives.
Manage all operational expenditures and deliver gross margin performance in line with budget.
Evaluate and develop manufacturing capability as required to support business needs.
Define/implement & drive ongoing cost reduction and continual improvement programs.
Implementation of 5S+1 across all 10 European Sites. 
Identify, assess and manage/oversee site consolidations.
Continually assess and initiate sub-assembly and/or product transfers to lower-cost sites/sources;
Lead European operations on due diligence and integration activities of newly acquired companies.

European Operations Director

Betatherm

Betatherm was acquired by Measurement Specialties in April 2006. I took responsibility for Operations at the Galway site, and in addition took Operational control of our Dayton (Ohio) Facility and Shrewsbury (MA) (also acquired by MEAS in April 2006).The Temperature Products Group had annual revenues of $50m.
	
My responsibilities included :
On-Time Delivery (OTD), Quality DPM, Arrears (Overdue), Scrap, Supplier OTD, Inventory and Inventory Turns, Yields, PPV (Purchase Price Variance).
Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, Planning, Logistics and Process Engineering responsibility.
Galway site manager (65 Employee’s) including site expense management.
Global sourcing (approval of new lower cost vendors)
New product introduction and product transfers.
Management of Chinese subcontract manufacturing partner
Annual operational budgeting process and standards setting.
Manufacturing documentation / bill of material and transactional accuracy on ERP system (SAGE).
