I am the owner and sole attorney at the Law Office of Joel Chorny, PLLC. I provide top-quality personalized representation to individuals charged with crimes in the State of Arizona in both federal and state courts. Previously, I worked as an attorney in the area of indigent criminal defense for Pima County for over 11 years. During that time I handled over 1,000 felony cases and tried dozens of felony trials in front of juries. I also served as the Director of the Pima County Public Defender's Office's mentorship program ensuring that the new attorneys had the resources to grow and thrive in the profession. Additionally, I am an adjunct professor of trial advocacy at the James E. Rogers College of Law where I teach 2L and 3L law students the art of trying cases. I am a native Spanish speaker and also proficient in French. I was also the founder and president of Art with Conviction, an organization dedicated to transforming the way people perceive the phrase "convicted felon" and removing the stigma that is added to that label.
