I read management articles in Harvard Business Review as a 20-year-old. 

I would steal them from my dad who was a long-time subscriber to the physical magazine.

Technically, I had no business reading HBR, which is a magazine for senior leaders - not 20-year-old girls.

But I followed my interests and read about things that I wouldn't be ready for until 10+ years later.

Looking back, I've always done stuff like this:

- I read Dalai Lama's book on "Happiness" as a 13-year-old which taught me how to make life-changing decisions 6 years before I would make my first one.

- I invested into high-level coaches & mentors to learn about running a 7-fig or 8-fig business & building wealth even though I was nowhere near those numbers.

- I've listened to podcasts about hiring mistakes to avoid years before I started growing my team (lessons I'm using now).

- I joined Facebook groups for Airbnb hosts just to "learn" 3+ years before I would own my first property to rent out.

And the thing is.
I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for this part of me.

Because I never think "I'm not ready for this, so let me just do things, listen to things & learn from people that align with where I am right now"

Instead I think "What would Joella 5 years from now do? Let's do that."

I truly believe we never automatically "become" ready for anything.
We choose to become ready, through the decisions we make, the people we choose to spend time around, the content we consume (and the magazines we read).

And that's why, inside my exclusive network & mentorship space Industry Leader Lounge, I am introducing my clients to topics that they're not "ready" for. That they might not fully understand yet or that isn't "relevant" to them yet.

Because I want to expand their worldview of what they actually might or might not be ready for.

Because that's how they actually can become...ready.

What used to work in 2023/2024 is no longer working in 2025.

Part of that has to do with AI - which is making it easier than ever to create content… but harder than ever to stand out.
