As Chief Risk Officer at the Buckinghamshire Building Society I call upon my 22 years experience as a risk professional in the financial services industry. My deep and varied knowledge gained through my exposure to the end-to-end risk management framework, and the completion of relevant qualifications, enables me to provide the necessary assurance through the Board governance structure. My particular strengths include the use of sophisticated modelling techniques to deliver measurable business benefits. One of my core beliefs is that models must be practicably deployable and fit for purpose. Having presented technical methodologies at Executive and Board level over a number of years I recognise the importance of balancing risk and reward to deliver on commercial goals whilst operating within risk appetite.
