•	Responsible for day-to-day management of all litigation matters for the company, in state and federal courts in the United States as well as occasional litigation in Canada.
•	Representative issues included: section 1 antitrust violations, trademark infringement claims, breach of contract disputes, commercial real estate disputes, and products liability claims.

Commercial Contracting
•	Draft and negotiate commercial contracts on a broad range of topics, including master service agreements (and corresponding statements of work), consulting agreements, and construction agreements.

Employment
•	Advise and assist the human resources department on issues including WARN-Act requirements, employee discipline, internal investigations, and updates to the corporate policies and handbooks.

Intellectual Property
•	Work with APUSA's branded affiliate to manage its ex-US trademark and patent portfolio of more than 250 total registrations and patents.
•	Work with the business in the United States to apply for trademarks for various branded over-the-counter medications.

Represent THC and CBD vaping and infused product manufacturer in first ever federal trademark infringement action involving federal trademark rights in smoking related products, including vaping devices and hemp oil.

Represent a national cannabis trade association seeking to appear as amicus curiae in a Ninth Circuit appeal regarding the interstate transportation of federally lawful hemp.

Provide regulatory advice to: (i) a company in the tobacco industry in connection with its expansion into the hemp-derived CBD vaping category; (ii) a global cannabinoid company with international production and distribution capabilities that stretch across five continents; and (iii) an internet advertising network in connection with advertising cannabis-related products using its health market online advertising services.

Counsel to class of 48,000 doctors in nationwide antitrust class action alleging that their trade association's conditioning of professional certification on the purchase of membership in the association constituted unlawful tying in violation of the antitrust laws.

Counsel to investors of acquired pharmaceutical company seeking in excess of $200 million in damages related to acquiring company’s failure to pay milestone payments in violation of the parties’ merger agreement.

Claims attorneys work closely with traffic engineers, accident reconstructionists and various medical experts. In addition to defending the City in State Court tort actions, the Unit seeks defense and indemnification for the City from independent contractors based upon contractual obligations, or tenants based on the lease of City owned facilities.
