Cash-flow management and modelling
Funding Requirements and Sourcing 
Liaise with Auditors on auditing, tax and accounting issues
Liaise with Bankers, and SARS and other institutions on day to day tasks.
Responsible for 55 staff members 
Presentation of Management Accounts and Statutory Accounts to Shareholders
Reviewing and Approving new Business Opportunities
Procurement and Negotiation of Terms with various suppliers
Training staff on general accounting and operational procedures
Vetting and approving all new contracts
Identifying and implementation of cost saving opportunities
Review of all tender applications
Recruitment of Staff
Business valuations, New Acquisitions and Negotiations
Stakeholder Relationships and Management
Identifying and implementing a new integrated IT system for the Group
Managing and advising on legal matters
Advising on all HR related matters including Systems, Performance Management, Payroll, Staff Development and Training
Responsible for optimising Facilities, Health and Safety, Fleet Management and associated functions for the Group

•	Financial reporting included 4 main Dis-Chem entities, 9 Franchise Companies, 5 Property Companies, Dis-Chem Foundation Trust
•	Reviewing other Joint Venture Companies in Group including Dis-Chem Vision

•	Negotiating discounts, logistic fees and rebates on a global basis, checking and signing of vendor payments
•	Reviewing and signing off trade and operational agreements
•	Meetings with vendors on operational procedures, payment terms and other issues
•	Liaise with Auditors on auditing, tax and accounting issues
•	Liaise with Bankers, SARS, Stats SA and other institutions on day to day tasks.
•	Responsible for 130 staff members (Assistant Financial Manager, 15 bookkeepers, 50 creditors’ department, 40 debtors’ department, Internal Auditor, 20 Admin Staff, 10 SAP department)
•	Training staff on general accounting issues and operational procedures at stores
•	Recruitment of own staff
