Great that you found your way here! My name is Johanna, and I’m passionate about working with leadership and corporate culture. I was born and raised in Åland, a place that embodies a culture of entrepreneurship. I've always been interested in how people and businesses interact, so I pursued a bachelor's degree in behavioral sciences, followed by a master’s in psychology, and also a bachelor's in business administration. At the age of 20, I already ran my own business—a horse farm and event company focused on mental health. In my business, I had many successful collaborations and led large groups of people (and horses) in my events. In 2019, I transitioned to the marine insurance industry, working in loss prevention. As a Human Factor specialist, I conducted analyses and collaborated with shipping companies to build a culture based on safety, as well as the well-being and engagement of employees and crew members. When leadership doesn’t focus on the human aspects, it not only poses a major safety risk but also becomes a significant bottleneck for business operations. Determined to gain more tools for change, I enrolled in Uneståhl's international coaching program, a journey that marked a significant turning point. Lars-Eric Uneståhl, the father of Mental Training, was also behind many of the tools we learned during the certification course. I continued my exploration and traveled to Thailand to deepen my understanding of a coaching practice that resonated with the profound wisdom of life coaching philosophy. However, the most important step in this journey was a decision I made to consciously work on myself and help others do the same. When I returned home from Thailand in November 2023, I began building the program that would become Social Smart Leadership, designed to help managers enhance their social competence. I took the best insights from my academic studies in behavioral sciences, psychology, and business administration and combined them with the best tools from the coaching world. I look forward to continuing this journey, where I can develop myself and help others grow toward more people-smart organizations.
