I am a lawyer, bar-approved specialist for international commercial law and for commercial and corporate law and a partner at BUSE in Düsseldorf. I advise clients on national and international commercial and distribution law and represent them in and out of court in disputes in this field. Even more precise? I am a service provider for two topics: 1️⃣ Outsourced Legal Department for B2B companies / Contract Management: I support B2B companies (trading companies, goods producers, wholesalers and service providers) that do not have their own legal department on a permanent and long-term basis as an outsourced legal department. I create structures and order in contract management and then act as gatekeeper and first point of contact for all commercial and distribution law issues. Cross-border issues in commercial law are my speciality. Whenever things get complex across borders, I feel at home. Incoterms, letters of credit, UN sales law, supply chains, general terms and conditions and self-supply reservations are part of my daily work. 2️⃣ Commercial Litigation / Commercial and Distribution Law Disputes: I am head of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice Group and represent clients in commercial and distribution disputes. The focus is on the resolution of supposedly deadlocked situations. I conduct unavoidable court proceedings with knowledge not only of the national rules of civil procedure but also, in particular, of the international rules that can have an enormous impact on proceedings (from the international jurisdiction of the courts seised to questions of applicable law).
