Hi, I'm John and I'm a proud queer, 1st-generation Pilpinx man who believes that words and numbers mean things. Throughout my professional career in college and career guidance, project management, and coaching/mentorship, I discovered that I have the innate ability to lead without influence. In my time at General Assembly, I've supported UX Designers, UX Researchers, Software Engineers, Data Scientists, and Data Analysts to identify problems, investigate issues, and build products that aim to solve large-scale, system-level problems that users face when interacting with digital products. In my transition to Product Management, I hope to develop my expertise in product vision/strategy, problem identification, and cross-team collaboration to accurately identify the actual problems users face. Eventually, I see myself in a leadership role where I can simultaneously guide engineering, design, data, and marketing teams by leveraging my quantitative and qualitative data analysis skills. A mantra that I share with teams I've worked with is that sometimes things change, but they change for the better.
