Market Street hotel

Market Street hotel, part of Carlton Hotel Collection, is a brand-new hotel project in the heart of Edinburgh and Scotland’s first member of Design Hotels™. I was part of the sales and marketing team during the preopening and initial operation phase of the hotel before being impacted by COVID-19. I was responsible for managing the digital footprint of the hotel across all online channels. I coordinated the design of all hotel branded collateral and in-room digital experience for the guest. I worked closely to agreed brand guidelines to write engaging copy for the hotel’s target market in brochures, social media and both printed and digital advertising.

Orion Group

Orion Group is a recruitment agency focussed on sourcing workforce solutions across a range of industries including; engineering, renewables, construction, life sciences, finance and manufacturing. 

I was responsible for all marketing activities. This ranged from managing all online channels to designing branded collateral, to branding tender submissions and influencing office design. All to ensure brand consistency throughout Orion’s worldwide network of offices.

Aava Whistler Hotel

The role involved a range of activities from content and advert design, to managing contracts and relations with tour clients, to implementing SEO and digital marketing strategies. Each task was centred on the inherent goal of communicating the experience of staying at the hotel and the location that Whistler represents. Aava Whistler Hotel seeks to be the perfect Basecamp for its guests' adventures. I gained experience of influencer marketing and in managing partnerships with athletes and events, created to communicate Aava's commitment to adventure. 

A key project in the role was the design and implementation of a new website in collaboration with TravelClick, complete with updated and on-brand video content and imagery. In delivering this website the goal of simplifying the booking process for hotel guests was achieved.

Lateral City Apartments

A true combination of old and new, Lateral City offer bespoke luxury apartments in the heart of Edinburgh. In this position, I was tasked with increasing non-commissionable sales for its accommodation properties, Merchiston Residence and Old Town Chambers. I sought to achieve this
by implementing a digital marketing strategy for all online platforms, designed to drive greater traffic towards the company website and in turn increase direct bookings. A key part of the role was also managing certain sales channels intended to grow room nights at each location. I also succeeded in building the brand locally by partnering with local businesses and events that were aligned with the brand values of Lateral City’s properties.

Hel’s angels are a promotional staffing company. I have worked as a brand ambassador at  events in Glasgow and as part of the ‘energizer’ team at the SSE Hydro. Key duties included  front of house responsibilities and generally dealing with customer’s questions and queries. Through these roles I have further enhanced my skills in interacting with customers and working as part of a team.  In all roles within Hel’s Angels I have provided fantastic customer service.

I also identified potential clients by obtaining their contact details and generating sales leads and built a client database which was segmented into the various markets and industries that the company was looking to target.
