I am responsible for facilitating a comprehensive environmental compliance program for 23 drinking water systems, 212 facilities, over multiple regulatory agencies and jurisdictions throughout Cal Water's southern region of California (Kern, Ventura and Los Angeles counties).

Port of Long Beach, Gerald Desmond Bridge Demolition Project. Development and implementation of an environmental compliance strategy to ensure the contractor complies with all contract and regulatory requirements for a large-scale bridge demolition project. Compliance elements include: Peregrine Falcon monitoring and mitigation, asbestos and lead abatement and management, storm water management, equipment emissions requirements, waste recycling and fugitive dust control.

Environmental Manager

Environmental Compliance on the Program Management/Construction Management (PMCM) teams for two major ($2 + billion) capital improvement projects (Port of Long Beach, CA): the Gerald Desmond Bridge Replacement Project and Middle Harbor Redevelopment Program, Phase I and the NRG Forebay Demolition Project. 

In close coordination with engineers and planners from Caltrans, the Port of Long Beach Environmental Planning and Construction Management divisions and the Contractor’s environmental compliance management team, I am responsible for facilitating/compelling Contractor compliance with project-specific, Contract mandated requirements, Port of Long Beach-specific environmental requirements and all applicable federal, state and local environmental regulatory and permitting requirements.

My role also encompasses change issues, dispute resolution, claims analysis and utilities.
