•	Support leadership in the development and implementation of organizational initiatives, strategies, and plans related to the advancement of racial equity and inclusion.
•	Provide training and support to Public Works staff regarding equity and inclusion principals and initiatives. Assist individual staff members, teams and work groups in understanding and applying training.
•	Provide consultation and support for community engagement and recruitment efforts.
•	Assist staff in advancing race and equity goals in new and existing programs and policies by using toolkits and providing data, support, and recommendations.
•	Serve as a change agent within the organization and a resource to fellow Public Works staff and identifying and removing structural bias in inequities in Department policies, programs and services.
•	Compile, distribute and present reports and measurements of race and equity work.
•	Develop support and model a positive and productive workplace culture and customer service emphasis based on equity, respect, and inclusion.
•	Actively pursue education, networking and learning opportunities to stay abreast of new and emerging issues in the field of equity and inclusion. Actively encourage other leaders to do likewise.
•	Develop and maintain effective professional relationships with other race and equity practitioners, particularly in the public sector. Proactively share new information through all levels of the organization.

Equity Coordinator of Public Works

Continuing my work as a Survey Tech/Instrument Person and adding Racial Equity Coordinator to my duties to build on the premise that everyone does better, when everyone does better. 

Racial Equity Coordinator: Advance specific equity strategies
•	Assist in the revision of Public Works Policies to create more equity and inclusion, working with Equity Change Team, managers, director, and staff as appropriate
•	Work with division managers to advance specific strategies to support equity goals, e.g., the creation of mentoring programs that improve employee retention and success
•	Serve as a community liaison, especially for recruitment St. Paul residents and in other ways to support various PW teams in culturally competent community engagement
•	Support BIPOC and other under-represented employees in navigating employment issues/grievances, etc. and steering them to the most responsive channels
•	Identify cross-departmental opportunities for employee engagement and training
