In my mid 20s, I was on a road trip to Maine when a friend (also named John) asked me if I had a vision for my life. I was a bit stumped at first 🤔. I began “throwing mud” as we had ample time to kill. Eventually the answer rolled off my tongue and it clicked in my brain💡. “I want to be a man who can be entrusted with anything!” - Big or small - Valuable or cheap - A wife & kids - Another person’s hopes, dreams & fears - No matter the organization or team - Seen or unseen …and the list could go on and on…but at the end of the day this is what I want to be true of my life. Over the past 15 years in my personal and professional life I have been working to be a trustworthy steward of people’s hopes, dreams and future goals as 100s (maybe 1000s) of people have entrusted to me their stories, successes and struggles. My hope is that I have been a faithful and formative coach, confidant & counselor who has listened compassionately and advised wisely. As I look ahead to the next 15 years and beyond, my focus has shifted to investing in others through financial planning.
