June 1st, 1998 marked the end of the 100-year monopoly on local telephone service in Canada. With local phone service now deregulated in Halifax, Nova Scotia, I was able to sell private payphones to businesses for an on-going profit share of any money deposited.

CJLI Radio

As part of electronics class in high school, we had to build a working model. My choice was to build a short-range radio transmitter. After the project was completed, I petitioned my school principal to allow me to operate a radio station at school. I had a full staff of students broadcasting approved music in the cafeteria and gym within three months. The following year, local businesses bought advertising time with free giveaways and people living close by also tuned in. I continued to run the radio station until I graduated.

As Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of AlphaBatem Labs/BlokHost John is responsible for driving the company's strategic direction. John has a demonstrated history of success in emerging and recently deregulated markets. 

As blockchain enables more decentralization and security, and as corporations move their user base into the next iteration of the internet, and virtual experiences, John will make sure AlphaBatem Labs and its solutions are solving real problems and promoting user adoption.
