If you have a workplace or employment-related problem anywhere in Australia, I'm here to help you solve it. With a wealth of experience in all facets of workplace and employment law, I've advised and represented employers and employees across the private sector, public sector, non-profits, and statutory authorities. My practice spans appearances before Workplace and Industrial, Administrative and Statutory Tribunals, and Courts at both State and Federal levels. I have a particular passion for dispute resolution, excelling in both court advocacy and strategic negotiation. Before co-founding Farren McRae Workplace Lawyers and Consultants, I spent over six years as a Barrister-at-Law at the Queensland Private Bar. My transition to solicitor stemmed from a deep-seated drive to assist individuals and employers in effectively resolving complex workplace disputes, a mission I felt was best pursued by leading my own law firm. Beyond legal representation, I bring over 20 years of experience in conducting complex, high-stakes workplace investigations, tackling issues such as misconduct, corrupt conduct, bullying and harassment, serious disciplinary matters, sexual harassment, grievances, discrimination, and worker’s compensation. I am also an experienced workplace mediator, known for my distinctive mediation style that helps parties uncover the root causes of their conflicts and foster more positive working relationships. My commitment to the community is reflected in my roles as an independent Board member. Since January 2017, I have served as one of the two Specialist Directors on the Board of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Legal Service (QLD) Ltd. I previously served pro bono on the National Board of Management of the Salvation Army’s Employment Plus from 2012 to 2017. For personalised legal advice or representation, you can reach me at [email protected]. Disclaimer: Any comment or contribution I make on LinkedIn does not create a lawyer-client relationship with any reader, is made purely for educational or entertainment purposes and does not constitute legal advice. In other words, although I am a lawyer, I’m not your lawyer. If you need personalised legal advice, you should contact a lawyer who is licensed to practice in your local jurisdiction.
