SendSafely operates a zero knowledge, end-to-end encrypted file exchange platform, allowing users to easily exchange encrypted files and information.

My role of Customer Solutions Engineer is split across four main areas:

• Premium consulting: building custom integrations/web hooks/APIs for variety of systems, as well as providing developer training sessions.

• Documentation: Creating new articles for customer-facing help center, and building developer-focused documentation of our various APIs/SDKs.
 
• Configuration setups: Ensuring our customers successfully implement our suite of integrations (Zendesk, Freshdesk, Salesforce, Zapier, Jira).

• Demos: Providing education throughout the sales process, as well as supporting existing customers through live training sessions and video tutorial creation.

Fast-paced start-up environment with short development cycles — got very comfortable starting with limited information, bringing clarity through rapid iterations.

•	Developed expansive range of custom UI features (forms, modals etc.) on a daily basis, across a wide variety of customer websites (Tableau, Snowflake, Looker, Okta, Dermalogica, Gong etc.) to drive an average of 46% lift in conversions.

•	Successfully investigated and interacted with a wide-range of SPA (Angular, ReactJS, Preact) and CMS (WordPress, Shopify) instances to realize customer ideas.

•	Created documentation, code reviews and ran workshops to improve developer experience.

•	Built components for internal tooling using ReactJS to increase operational efficiency and support internal workflow.

Solutions Engineer

Temporary contract creating programs for asensei, a company building an innovative coaching application, which provides active coaching of athletes through a combination of clothing-embedded sensors and iOS application. 

Primary duties included: translating coaching programs into proprietary JSON format; developing, testing and publishing programs; and working with the engineering team to create new features, as requested by sports coaches.

Worked on a range of web-based projects, from HTML email signatures for individual clients, to an AngularJS application for B. Braun Medical, which saved several hours a month of manual data analysis, and gave 100% accuracy in its results.

Key role within a fast-moving digital healthcare start-up, based in Glasgow. As a practising pharmacist and digital designer, I had responsibilities across almost all aspects of the business. My focus was on the operational aspects of providing a digitally-enabled pharmacy service,

Main achievements during my time:

•  Led team through a customer discovery process, as part of the MediCity Develop program, which recognised the demand for a new model, user-centred pharmacy service.  This work resulted in the business pivoting from its original plans and to begin prototyping a digitally-enabled pharmacy service - one that met the needs of modern patients.

• Implemented and oversaw a pilot program in Glasgow to test our pharmacy service model on a small-scale. This involved developing new operational procedures and negotiation with GP surgeries due to the novel nature of our service. It validated the customer demand for our pharmacy service, as well as giving valuable operational insight into providing such a service. 

• Created wire-frame prototypes and undertook user testing for our iOS app, which allows patients to order and track their medication. Used the data from these user tests to design the functional structure of the app.

• The "pharmacy interface" was a critical piece of our pharmacy operations, a web app that allowed pharmacy staff to update the status of a patient's prescription at each stage of the dispensing process. As part of a user-centred design process, I created wire-frame prototypes and undertook user testing to design a system that staff found intuitive to use.

• Using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap and the AngularJS framework, I fully developed the pharmacy interface from my initial designs. This resulted in a fully-functional web app, which integrated seamlessly into the company's technology stack. It delivered one of the key aspects of our value proposition: real-time visibility of the dispensing process, from end-to-end.

• Employed immediately after completion of pre-registration year in NHS Tayside.

• Gained broad experience with a variety of rotations:
      - Supervised aseptic dispensing (chemotherapy, total parenteral nutrition and IV antibiotics)
       - Performed clinical services for general surgical wards and several medical wards
      - Covered medicine-for-the-elderly, general medicine and gastro-intestinal wards 
      - Designed spreadsheet that improved antibiotic dosing calculation accuracy from 80 to 100%      
      - Supervised supply of medicinal products in the hospital's dispensary

Hospital Pharmacist (Rotational)

• General Pharmaceutical Council mandated training year prior to registering as a pharmacist.
• Assisted in the provision of pharmacy services, e.g. dispensing and ward-based clinical services
• Developed professional competence through training and regular appraisals
• Fulfilled standards expected by the General Pharmaceutical Council
