• Oversaw the three-plus year design and build of the entire wireless network infrastructure (HD3) from scratch, utilizing new Cisco 8540 and 5520 controllers and Cisco 3702i (802.11ac) access points. A clinical and guest network, this system includes six hospitals across central Massachusetts, plus over 50 remote locations across the state. Utilizing Cisco PRIME infrastructure for monitoring as well as the Cisco MSE Mobility Services Engine to monitor the Stanley HUGS infant monitoring system. Preparing to purchase Cisco ISE to complete the project.
• Designed and implemented 802.11 a/b/g/n enterprise networks for multiple applications such as data and VoIP in the following hospitals in the Worcester area: University, Lakeside, Memorial, Hahnemann, Wing, Marlboro, and Clinton utilizing Cisco Wireless Controller System and Lightweight Access points.
• Troubleshot and fixed existing Meru and Cisco RF infrastructures using a variety of tools such as the AirMagnet Surveyor and LAN analyzer suite of software. AirMagnet I certified, AirMagnet II class scheduled.
• Worked with management to help define an RF survey standard and help train team members as how to define cells for coverage and throughput.
• Present wireless solutions to IT management and officer level hospital administrators regarding a host of wireless devices, and the various environments they need to be used.
• Performed the path analysis for all of our point-to-point BridgeWave 1Gbps bridge paths around Worcester for network connectivity.
• BridgeWave certified (60 – 80 GHz products).
• Configured SSID with 802.11r, k and v. broadcast on 5GHz only for voice and video interpreter
services iPads.
