Employed to run the Financial Management of two major projects for a specialist finance and leasing organisation and subsequently engaged in several other projects with other high profile clients.

Bristol: CAT A and B fit out over 2 years 1 month
4 buildings in 6 phases creating swing space to allow the business to remain fully functional including provision of temporary accommodation for office space and training rooms. 
Specification included all new services and internals including WC areas and new shower blocks, extensive AV & VC systems, bespoke joinery packages, new furniture throughout, large staff restaurant with full kitchen and smaller breakout areas. Main campus office has a large new fully serviced comms room and a new glass box atrium entrance feature and high quality business lounge.

London: CAT A and B fit out over 2 years 3 months
9 storey corporate head office completed in 6 phase while client remained in occupation.
The building was stripped back to the shell floor by floor and fitted out to a high standard including all new on floor services and main plant.
All new facilities as Bristol

Harlow: CAT A and B fit out over 18 weeks
Consolidated client in to smaller area with more efficient space planning and furniture. Included new mechanical and electrical services, refurbished WC's, new cafe area in previously unused atrium and new garage / showroom area.

Motorola Solutions EMEA, Basingstoke - new data hall. £1.75m CAT B fit out completed in 16 weeks:  new 220 cabinet data hall in the middle of an existing fully occupied building with live services all round
Kyocera EMEA, Reading. £1.5m CAT A and B fit out completed in 18 weeks
Hewlett Packard - various projects up to £500k in locations to accommodate acquisitions and staff churn.
Serco - various projects up to £300k in Hook, Victoria and Richmond to accommodate acquisitions and staff churn.

Carrying out the preconstruction role on the full range of bluu’s projects, managing the preconstruction process on all their largest and most prestigious projects to some of the smallest and high yield ones. 

Examples of this are their largest project to date, £7,500,000.00 for the Management Consultant Booz & Co. to HIT Entertainment at £400,000 in 3 phases allowing them to remain in situ. 

The project types vary, ranging from pure Design and Build to 2 stage and Lump Sum tenders.

Carried out all aspects of Commercial Management, including pricing and budgeting, procurement, closing out projects and Project Management. Introduced new procedures including an integrated data system to facilitate subcontract orders, payments & final accounts along with cost value controls.

Freelance Commercial Manager

Pacific Interiors

Engaged to lead Preconstruction of the AXA Insurance roll-out project, initially involving office fit outs in 7 locations around the country. Being a two stage negotiation, this was not the usual territory for Pacific, hence their requirement for Freelance assistance. The role encompassed preparing initial budgets, working closely with the Pacific Design team to ensure the design and budgets matched, firming the budgets in to lump sum costings and the open book procurement of subcontractors.

The company was formed by the previous Managing Director of Inspace to undertake small fit outs and refurbishment works. I joined during the infancy of the company to carry out the full Commercial role. Duties included finding opportunities, budgeting and estimating, closing sales, placing sub-contract orders, generally running projects financially, assisting Project Management and managing cash flow. As the company grew, I moved in to the Preconstruction Manager role, bringing together the elements that make a winning bid, including design, programme, methodology, health & safety and of course price.

Initially taken on to undertake the full range of financial duties on various projects ranging from£150,000 to £4,000,000 for companies such as Ernst & Young, Royal & Sun Alliance and MWB. Other aspects of the role were to provide some business development for the company and to help develop systems for efficient business. During this time, I was promoted to Account Manager to further expand the business development role. I then managed their phase of the Job Centre Plus roll out in which we refurbished or fitted out over £8m worth of offices and ‘Front of House’ areas in 6 months across the country.

Some of the customers that I have worked for include AON Insurance, Morley Fund Management (2 projects, now Aviva Investors), The Medical Defence Union and Young & Rubicam.

Sourcing and selecting the correct subcontractors and suppliers, bringing together their proposals, planning, programming, assessing the logistics, bringing the team together, strategizing and running the bid.
