John Wallace was born in Boston, MA and grew up there and in NH until moving to the Pacific Northwest in 1989. A second-generation veteran, he honorably served our country as a medic in the Army from 1978-1981. His father served in WWII and was wounded in action during the Battle of the Bulge. Veterans and veteran issues have long been his focus. He has been involved with our homeless populations, aware that more up to 100,000 of our veterans are among their numbers. His other interests include hiking, foraging for wild foods, archery and shooting sports, gourmet cooking and ingredients, and playing jazz piano. He lives in Vancouver, WA with his lovely wife, Linda, and their lazy cat Bob. Although familiar with all mortgage products, his military service and desire to help fellow veterans with their goals of home ownership have made VA loans his primary focus. His years of active-duty service taught him the value of honor and integrity, and the drive to find solutions in the face of challenge.
