Joie is currently a Senior Director of Product Design at Realtor.com, with over 18 years of experience in the digital design space. Though she started as a web designer/developer, she spent the majority of her career specializing in interaction & visual design (UX / Product) for mobile apps. She loves problem solving and is passionate about the role design and tech can have in making people's lives easier. She has worked with a wide range of clients in sports, health, finance, logistics, energy, and travel. Prior to her current role, she led a talented cross-functional UX team at Expedia Group to design apps for vacation rental owners and property managers to better run their business. She is now focused on building a strong design organization at Realtor.com to craft product experiences that educate and guide consumers through their home buying journey, connect buyers to the best real estate professionals for their needs, and provide agents & brokers with the tools they need better serve their clients and gain new ones. Outside of supporting her team, she speaks about design and leadership as well as mentoring new designers and managers in the industry. In her free time, you can find her traveling, hiking and exploring trails, petting puppies at the dog park, or hanging out at coffee shops around Austin.
