Out of office until further notice ✨

This year, I'm heading into Q4 with no pipeline, no slack mentions, and no meetings on the cal. Jobless but heart very full. 

My journey with Remote has been a wild ride from day 1 to the very last hour as I closed the biggest deal of my sales career on the final day of my final quarter. That's sales in a nutshell.

Coming from the startup world, it was an interesting challenge to step into a larger global org where the sales team alone was triple the size of any entire company I'd worked at before. 

From navigating the complexities of global employment, to learning a multi-product sale and figuring out how to collaborate with people all over the world while being fully remote - it was a lot but I'm thankful for the challenges & lessons.

Not all chapters are meant to last forever and it's such a blessing to figure out what is right for you, and what isn't. That's divine redirection. 

I'm forever grateful for the UK team and everyone who made the ups and downs so worth it over the past year. You know who you are 💘

Until I step into the next thing, I'll be enjoying lifeeee!

Low barrier to entry does not equal low effort.

Last week I shared that the best thing about a career in tech sales is that anyone can do it, no matter where you've been or what you've done.

The barrier to entry might be low - but the effort required is sky high.

If you're serious about breaking into sales, be prepared to do the job before you get the job.

I'm talking about months of prospecting into your dream companies, cold calling hiring managers, sending videos, social selling yourself on Linkedin, facing rejection after rejection - and showing up the next day to do it all over again.

I'm not gonna sugarcoat it for you: it's hard work.

And if you're not willing to put in the work upfront, you're definitely not cut out for the job. Because sales is about investing, building, giving - long before you get anything back in return.

So stop blaming the job market. Stop blaming recruiters.
You aren't entitled to anything!

Go all in - apply yourself - and I promise you will find your spot in this world.

And the best thing is... once you're in ✨ you are IN ✨
