In July 2022, I became a Certified Life Coach with a certification from the Arizona Trauma Institute.
As a Life Coach, it’s my overarching goal to help veterans to develop professional resiliency to satisfy the mental health needs of law enforcement. 
Utilizing both the tools I acquired throughout my recovery and the skills of leadership and management developed as a member of CANSOFCOM, I support my clients as they overcome life’s many struggles and traumas. Supporting those in uniform and the wider community, it’s my goal to better prepare veterans with the ability to confront and overcome mental health injuries. 
In addition to 1:1 sessions, this can include working through trauma in family-based settings. As a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist for both families and individuals, I also work with veterans and their families to overcome compassion fatigue and equip them with the tools and strategies to manage and understand the complexities of trauma injuries.
Sessions often take place remotely, allowing me to work with veterans from all over the world. For interest in both 1:1, family and group sessions, send me a private message – no problem is too complex for us to face together.

In 2019, I was diagnosed with Complex PTSD as a result of what I had been exposed to in the military, police and special forces. Unable to return to my former positions within the police and military, I dedicated my career to advocating for the mental health of those in service.
As a Speaker, I led sessions and talks on mental health in the armed forces and first response services to help equip others with the tools and mechanisms to navigate difficult scenarios with the support needed to overcome mental health hardships.

Wired Differently Canada Inc.

Wired Differently Inc. is a merchandise company on a mission to break the stigma around mental health for military members and first responders. 
Founded in 2021, Wired Differently Inc. hires veterans, military, first responders and their family members to design and create merchandise that advocates for mental health awareness.
The profit from all sales is donated to organizations like Can Praxis which use equine therapy to support mental health initiatives. 
In April 2022, Wired Differently Inc. was the proud sponsor of “Let’s Walk it Out” – an American organization that hosts an annual rucksack march of 222 miles. Like Wired Differently, Let’s Walk it Out aims to raise awareness of suicide rates and declining mental health stats for people in uniform.

Operation: Wired Differently (April 2021)
Peace and safety is a basic human right. That’s why we need key responders: soldiers, police, paramedics, firefighters and frontline hospital personnel. But key responders are just like me and you – they’re human. And humans aren’t made to cope with repetitive trauma.
Special Operations Forces and civic policing changed me. Consumed daily with running towards danger, my mind and body stopped me from going any further. I was diagnosed with Complex PTSD and Operational Stress Injury.
Now, my act of service takes on a different form: I’m sharing my story. As an author, it’s my goal to advocate for the mental health of all in the armed forces, first responders and people in uniform. I aim to honor my colleagues and continue to save lives – by educating people about life on the ground and offering support and understanding for those putting their lives on the line who battle with the images of trauma every single day. 
Operation: Wired Differently helps people to understand Operational Stress Injury (OSI) and Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), grasp the role of first responders who are at risk or have already been diagnosed, and adopt a role to readers that allows them to assist those who put their lives on the line for peace and safety.

As a Frontline Police Constable, I enforced province and city bylaws and legislation by apprehending criminal offenders to minimize crimes and maintain public peace and safety. 
During my service, I demonstrated sound judgment in high-pressure, life-threatening scenarios, responding to police station and 911 dispatch calls to resolve traffic incidents, emergencies and criminal activity including homicide, domestic violence, assault/battery, theft, burglary, drug trafficking and vandalism.
Working with a patrol partner and other first responders, I undertook various roles and responsibilities to maintain public safety at all times.

Working as an Operational Clerk, I was relied upon to handle various administrative functions to support CAF’s counter-terrorism unit. As part of my role, I:
• Briefed high-ranking personnel on operational allowances and policies, working to improve understanding and awareness
• Prepared and finalized all administration required to deploy personnel
• Maintained constant contact and built rapport with the Canadian Embassy and other governmental agencies
• Responded to short-notice 24-7-365 call-ins due to emergency and unplanned issues
My accomplishments as Operational Clerk include:
• Selected over 27+ Clerks to support administrative functions during deployment to Iraq
• Booked return commercial flights for 56 members in under 3 hours to resolve issues within RCAF
• Maintained line of communication with awaiting spouses to provide return times and locations
• Introduced an efficient system to complete administration in a shorter timeframe

As Resource Management Clerk, I handled all financial tracking including reporting, bookkeeping and records management functions within the top office for the Royal Canadian Navy. This involved:
• Keeping 200+ members up to date with the financial and administrative aspects of extensive job-related travel
• Working with a tight $49k budget to implement a beautification initiative within the unit’s common area

In 2009, I became a Communication Research Operator and was directly responsible for ensuring the security of the school’s information technology infrastructure.
During my employment, I collaborated with a colleague to rebuild the Morse Code exam for the school.

While awaiting my first official posting, I was assigned to the Enemy Forces Troop at the Post Recruit Education Training Centre. My responsibilities included testing the stress levels of new recruits and completing all associated administration tasks.

I am an Author, Mental Health Advocate and Certified Life Coach dedicated to helping my clients maximize their potential whether as entrepreneurs, or leaders within their organizations. As a veteran and former police officer I also help military members and first responders confront the effects of trauma and successfully transition to new careers.

I am a Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) - Special Operation Forces veteran and served as a Frontline Police Constable with a combined 18 years of service. In 2019, I was diagnosed with Complex PTSD, disassociation, depression and mental fatigue due to work-related trauma. Utilizing various therapies I developed an effective program that allowed me to manage my complex stress injury.

In 2021 I published my book Operation: Wired Differently, detailing my experiences and journey back to mental health.

Now I leverage my skills and years of experience to help others achieve their goals. As a Certified Life Coach I deliver results-driven strategies tailored to your individual needs.
