3rd party partnerships - tracking, beta testing, frameworks, app discovery services, app   development platforms, etc.

Publishers - responsible for driving growth to network. Locating, approaching, negotiating and 
signing new publishers. Managing ad inventory and publisher media. 
 
Community - creating and solely managing the Appnext Community platform and 3rd party 
developer forums, including meetups, as a dedicated marketing channel.
 
Conducting developers webinars.
 
Exhibiting & attending industry conferences, including speaking in panels and lectures.

Was chartered with defining and driving the company's global advertising activities. This involved setting up the execution chain, collaterals, policies and contacts necessary to drive. En route, I have created a deck of sales and policy materials and have trained local sales people on how to reach maximum media occupancy. I have participated in a lot of hands on engagements with local advertisers and agencies and have worked closely with the product development team in order to ensure maximum support and compliance. 

During the first year of activity we have reached a gross revenue level of $1.9M from advertising activities and personally I have been accounted for $500k in direct sales.

I'm the founder GRAND, an agency that grows brands through Thought Leadership.

I write Thought Leadership content for individuals and companies, with one mission in mind - crerate awareness, credibility and reputation they can use to achieve their goals.

During my 4 years at AppsFlyer, I've written 2,000 posts for over 200 employees, from managers and individual contributers to the CEO.

My clients are investors and orginzations who realize that the best branding efforts in B2B are driven from authentic, professional content by employees, and not promotions.

I have 10+ in Marketing and Business Development, and my work does NOT revolve around employer brand, but around Sales and business KPIs.

It’s been 6 months since I became self-employed.

Time flies. What seemed inconceivable for me a year ago, is now my second nature.

While I don’t regret this move for even a minute, there’s a lot I didn’t expect. 

Most of all, it’s the emotional element that is the hardest to process. It FEELS different to be self-employed. It weighs down on you. 

This how I expereinced it:

1. You are it
Accounting? Sales? Marketing? Customer success? IT? You’re all of them.
There’s no one to pass your responsibilities on to. There’s no one else to carry the torch, or the blame.

That’s a pretty big shift, especially if you’ve worked for a big company.

2. There’s nowhere to hide.
Your challenges chase you all day, everywhere. Nights, weekends, shower, walking the dog, eating a cookie.

No one prepares you for that level of relentless thinking and worrying.

3. Doing your taxes isn’t THAT bad. 
I’d still rather do anything else - really, anything. But I expected a lot worse. Just like most things, technology made this a much better experience.. 

4. Your family’s support matters
Work takes a bigger chunk of your time and it often makes you uncomfortable and unrelaxed. It’s a challenge to those around you. You need their support. You need to remember their sacrifice. 

5. Your clients are NOT your boss
As nurturing, pleasant, cooperative or demanding as they can be, you are not their employee. It's a different kind of relationship.

6. Celebrate milestones
When you’re so focused on delivering value, that’s the first thing that goes out the window. I haven’t celebrated anything during this past 6 months, althought there was a lot to be proud of.

No excel sheet, no planning, and no list of potential clients will prepare you for the mental and emotional shift you have to go through when becoming professionally independent. 

It’s tough. But it’s worth it.

So now, I’m about to practice “celebrating milestones” for the first time. I won’t wait another 6 months for the next one.

There’s a HUGE hidden value in posting on LinkedIn, so commonly ignored:

When your CEO posts something on LinkedIn - 

They don’t just promote the company.
They don’t just build their reputation.
They don’t just empower a brand.

They also communicate with their employees.

Employees who don’t read all the emails.
Employees who miss Asana notifications. 
Employees who mute their Slack channels, including *General* or *Scrum*, or just ignore it altogether. 

They’re all on LinkedIn. 

They read their managers’ content. 
They consume their executives’ insights.

LinkedIn is as much an internal communication channel as it is external. 

All the more reason you should be posting here.

Personal Branding roadblocks:

"I don't have anything to write about"
Of course you do. 
If there's any domain you work in, or any domain you're interested in - write about it. 'how to', 'Do's and don'ts', success stories, pioneers in that field, future of the industry.

"It's been written before"
Yeah, probably. Did every single person in your target audince read it? Did it have the right messaging? The right conclusion? At the right market condition.

Yes, you can write it again.

"I need a strategy"
No, you don't. That's just an excuse for not creating content.

Your domain, your expertise and your passion are a good enough starting point. An accurate strategy can follow, if needed, once you have more insights as to what your audince wants.

Content first, strategy later.

"No one will like it"
Yeah, sh&t happens. The best cure for that is writing another post. Eventually,  some will like it. You won't know until you're deep in the creation cycle.

No one keeps a scoreboard for your LinkedIn failures. 

"I don't have time for this"
Yes you do. It takes maybe ~30 minutes a week to get a single post live. 

This isn't about time, it's about prioritization. And branding should be way up there.
   
"It feels cringy"
Yeah, it does. So either avoid posting altogether, or feel awkward but with a solid professional brand. 
Get over it.

No more excuses. Start typing.

Fact:
EVERY single one of your buyers will look in your LinkedIn profile before buying your product or service.

They might do it a day before, a month before or a year before.

Whatever phase they're in, in that buying journey - your content can fasten that sale, slow it down, or stop it completely.

You have a real chance to improve #sales. Are you going to throw it away and focus on SEO and PPC, or are you going to do somethnig aobut it?

AI on #LinkedIn - potential:
High-quality opinions, better storytelling, new fields of expertise, much more insightful content, more innovation.

AI on #LinkedIn - reality:
Fluff content, generic stories, bot-like comments, repetitive insights, less innovation. 

For AI content to makes an actual, positive impact on content, there has to be an additional resource. Something of your own. Otherwise, it's just a bunch of recycled words.

For good, high-quality social media content - AI still has a long way to go.

Marketing is food for brands.

For your short term growth and to feed sales, you gotta have those juicy proteins and quality carbs.

For your long term, healthy growth, you need vegetables for vitamins and minerals.

Your content, your website, your assets - they have to be sweet, satisfying, easy to consume, and visually appetizing.

Your messaging and your brand need to hit your specific target audience and their exquisite taste, regardless if others like or not.

Your marketing has to be ALL of these dishes.
It has to be beautiful, consumable, accessible, value-driven yet entertaining, enticing, relatable, specific.

Marketing is a full-course meal. It's freakin' hard, and that’s exactly what makes it such a kick-ass profession.
