I am an experienced marine environmental consultant with over 24 yrs professional experience in both the private and public sector. I specialise in supporting marine development, having managed and contributed to EIA work for major port and harbour developments, coastal defence schemes, marine aggregate extraction and offshore wind, wave and tidal energy projects. I have particular knowledge of the UK offshore renewable sector via my work in the last 20 years on a range of projects from Rd1, Rd2, Rd3, Rd4, ScotWind and Irish offshore wind developments, FLOW projects in the Celtic Sea and wave and tidal energy schemes. I acted as Project Director for Project Erebus, which in 2023, became the first fully consented FLOW project in Welsh waters I also have extensive experience in the wave & tidal sector and, alongside RHDHV, undertook the EIA and consenting of the 240 MW Morlais Tidal Energy Zone off Anglesey.
