That’s a lot of meetings 

And not that I’ve booked 49,341 meetings, but now that I have your attention… 

Here’s my journey in 568 words:

Started Pink’s 

Basically we started by working with Commercial and Residential Property Managers doing move out cleans for tenants, then moved on to other stuff like plumbing. 

Built some really cool systems to automate a lot of the outbound and other GTM activities which let me focus a lot on just making content and doing shit I enjoy 

Launched Not Your Dad’s Media with the mindset that content (video, written copy, infographics) is the only true language of the internet. And if brands don’t speak the language, you won’t make money from it. 

We’re fluent in this language 

Were building founder-led content engines to turn impressions and influence into real revenue 

Taylor Ouellette✨ and I had a lofty goal when we started Not Your Dad's Media 

2 new clients per month, every single month 

and zero churn 

We learned pretty quick that the first part was very doable

All we had to do was:

1) continue posting content that slaps
2) engage with our audience more than we post
3) track who’s actually engaging with us
3) DM those people

That led to:

9 clients in 2.5 months 🎉

Second part of the goal: no churn. 

Which we haven’t succeeded with

we had 1 client churn in the first 3 months

The reason? 

Nothing crazy, but it just wasn’t a good fit. 

We couldn’t really find their voice, and even though the content did really well, they weren’t happy with it. 

Which taught me a MASSIVELY important lesson:

‼️Not everyone that wants your service is actually a fit for your business ‼️

Even if you know you have a good service, it’s not going to be a fit for everyone

The quality of your clients is the quality of your life. 

So weve been a little more picky in terms of who we work with this month

500,000 impressions. 2,000+ likes. Hundreds of comments.

Cool flex… but now what?

We had a client’s post blow up last week, and here’s exactly how we turned that spike into real opportunities ⬇️

1) Actively connect with the people who engaged (who're in your ICP)

They're more likely to accept your request cause they engaged with something you posted. The window is limited though, so take advantage of it. 

2) TRACK WHO'S ENGAGING WITH YOU

I can't stress this enough. If you're posting content and not tracking who's engaging with it, your page is a black box. 

You probably have prospects that are engaging with you, and you'll never know who they are without tracking engagement

We use Assembly for this

3) DM'ing those that are engaging

After you track engagement, you should have a MINIMUM of 5-10 people you can immediately reach out to. These are your highest intent people that are most likely to take a meeting with you

This isn't a lead magnet post. 

But this is flow of what we do for our clients when we have posts go ballistic. 

The window of opportunity is small when something goes viral, so take advantage of it.
