Hey there! I'm Jordan Thierry, and I'm a multi-talented individual with a passion for film production, writing, and activism. As the founder and Creative Director of Dream Chase Media, I help nonprofit organizations make a difference by creating compelling short documentaries, developing theory of change models, and refining their mission, vision, and values. My career began with a focus on leading voting rights, public policy, and philanthropic initiatives in the nonprofit sector. However, I also pursued my love for documentary filmmaking on the side. One of my recent accomplishments is the release of my feature film, GRANDMA'S ROSES, in 2022. This personal and unfiltered documentary explores the immense dedication and sacrifice that women of color bring to their families and communities. It received the prestigious Best Documentary award at the Hollywood International Diversity Film Festival. In 2013, I made my debut with THE BLACK FATHERHOOD PROJECT, a film that garnered widespread acclaim from community organizations nationwide for its insightful exploration of Black family history. Additionally, I am also an author. My book, A KIDS BOOK ABOUT SYSTEMIC RACISM, was personally selected by Oprah for her "Favorite Things List" and has been included in various "Must Read Kids Books" collections. I obtained my degrees in journalism and media studies from the University of Oregon and Howard University, respectively. I am truly passionate about using storytelling to make a positive impact and bring about meaningful change.
