Led the eRetail product development for Mindshare Worldwide with a focus on global clients and developing partnerships with international retailers and service providers. This role included oversight into local market operations to help synthesise and iterate global best practice to help clients win in eRetail. This role also included co-ordination of the Shop+ department in local markets and working upwards into the WPP ecommerce exco to help create integrated service offerings to provide end-to-end services for shared clients.

Strategic and Performance Marketing lead for EMEA clients with a specific focus on PVH (Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein) and VF Corp (The North Face, Vans and Timberland). My role was to help define and implement the performance marketing strategy (paid and organic) in order to achieve annual sales targets. This meant working closely with internal commercial, merchandising and content teams to identify long and short term opportunities which helped our clients meet their growth targets. Our work helped to drive 5x blended ROAS for our client pod and position performance media as the lead investment channel.

Without losing sight of the long-term, we also worked closely with our sister agency - Vizeum - to move customers from inspiration to transaction with an integrated brand + performance service design.

Search & Social Director for the national account of Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA). 

In this position, I oversaw one of the largest platform migrations within APAC during 2014. Built upon a first-in-market, two-way integration between Sizmek and Kenshoo, it united two best in breed and publisher independent platforms to unite Search, Social and Display for CBA.

Leading a team of 8, the accounts achieved record results during FY 14/15 which was assisted by the development of automated dashboards to improve productivity.

Performance Account Director - Commonwealth Bank of Australia & BankWest

Moving to one of Australia's most decorated and revered media agencies, I was immediately tasked with securing the National Westfield and Stockland (Residential) accounts, embedding team policies and processes for the effective delivery of account performance and nurturing new client relationships. 

This role evolved to incorporate national accounts from the Melbourne and Sydney offices, which involved a number of interstate duties and new business pitches - most notably the Australian Labor Party, for whom I led the Search and Social activities during the 2013 Kevin Rudd Federal Election campaign.

Managing the transition from a transactional to affiliate model, I led the process which integrated measurement from Performance Horizon Group, platform bid management from Kenshoo across Search and Social and product feed re-targeting from Criteo. Working with the leasing and procurement departments, our team created methods of reporting which measured online to store inferences and subsequently increased retail partner participation. This work was crucial to validate the online-to-store offering and subsequently increased revenue for the client.

In addition, the successful management of Stockland Residential led to increased portfolio opportunities across their retail and retirement divisions and subsequently doubled budgets year-on-year.

Having delivered improved account performance and revenue growth across the Unilever portfolio, as well as Volvo and Boehringer Ingelheim (BI), I was promoted to Biddable Media Manager across Land Rover/Jaguar and Kimberly Clark accounts.

With a focus on audience insights/analysis and client management, I led the relationship with key clients to deliver integrated Search and Social strategies with agile budget capabilities.

Having assumed greater responsibility across these accounts and highlighting business development opportunities for SEO it led to a tripling of revenue for the BI accounts. In doing so, the team expanded to include further Search and Social professionals which I then managed to deliver on campaign objectives and account duties.

In this capacity, I developed some award-winning campaigns and developed the internal product. This included agency workshops and publishing of regional POV's to drive thought leadership and client engagement.

Biddable Media Manager

After winning the national Unilever account, Joe was hired by Mindshare to handle the account migration and support the SEM and SEO projects for brands including Lynx, Dove, Rexona, Continental, Impulse and Simple. In addition to this, he was given greater responsibility across Volvo motors and Boehringer Ingelheim pharmaceuticals.

Responsible for account performance and financial management, Joe would ensure the execution of activity, insights and analysis and client reporting. Over time, and with consistent account improvements, Joe was required to handle both strategy and implementation and seek new business opportunities for owned media services, including Social and SEO.

As User Experience Lead, I was responsible for identifying the target audience and developing insights to inform the functional and creative direction of website experiences. 

Working in an advisory role on a number of projects including The Vegan Society, Sunseeker and Traffic England, I was responsible for interpreting the brief and engaging the creative and technical teams in the development of the product. 

Leading the concept of user-centred design, I would go through rounds of user testing which fed back in to development to deliver greater user experience.

Upon launch, I would lead digital performance initiatives - whether SEM, SEO, Social or eDM - to deliver on the clients' ongoing marketing objectives.
