Originally born and raised in Spain and currently living and working in the Netherlands, I have +13 years of international management experience, including business development, operations, and engineering in a wide range of industrial sectors, projects, and countries in Europe and North America. As a Senior Vice President of Industrial Business Development, I’m partnering with +30 industrial North American manufacturers to develop and expand their business across the complex European landscape, targeting a wide range of industries from power transmission and construction to energy, automotive, HVAC, and some other manufacturing-related industries. Leading a team of +20 business developers from +10 different nationalities, we create market entry strategies, generate connections, engage with them, and travel all around Europe and North America to close and activate the business. Previously, I lived and worked in Poland, where I helped Polish and Spanish construction companies to grow internationally in Europe. Spending the initial 5 years of my professional career working in the biggest construction company in the Eastern European countries while mastering my engineering and commercial knowledge in large complex EPC projects, I enjoyed working close to the industrial, energy, and oil & gas industries. On the other hand, working for a mid-size Spanish company within the maintenance service oriented to the heavy steel-making industry, allowed me to learn and grow while achieving the internationalization and full development of new subsidiaries in Poland, Romania, and Belgium, making the business profitable and growing YoY while leading a +50-employee office together with the full responsibility over the P&L, the operations, the strategic growth and the governance of the companies. The activities performed and the responsibilities and duties I have taken, gave me a managerial and leadership background while I was leading multicultural teams, and carrying out budgets by always being focused on achieving shareholder goals through the value added to clients and employees. At a personal level, I feel very proud of my integration into new cultures, learning the local language, and being able to adapt myself to the local society, markets, and formalities in the countries where I have been living and working.
