Virginia Information Technology Agency (VITA)

•	Governance of vendor based solution to create, implement, maintain and test disaster recovery program for the Commonwealth of VA.
•	Provided financial oversight of business continuity program based on vendor contractual obligations.
•	Implemented continuous improvement through ITIL framework to increase effectiveness and efficiency while reducing Commonwealth risk.
Key Accomplishments:
•	Gathered agency requirements from representatives from 40+ executive state agencies, created a service catalog of solutions based on the voice of the customer, got state legislature approval and then implemented through vigorous vendor management to build a statewide disaster recovery solution from the ground up.
•	Implemented 5-year plan solution to create an award winning business continuity program.
•	Managed an annual disaster recovery exercise for five straight years that included 26 executive state agencies and over 250 cross-platform applications.

Disaster Recovery/Active Directory Specialist

•	Managed team of twenty associates to provide production support for 1 billion customer sessions per year and generate revenue that exceeded $27 million annually.
•	Utilizing Six Sigma methodology, optimized support to result in $750,000 annual savings in vendor management, sourcing maintenance and license negotiations.
•	Imagined and implemented monthly score cards for all production support departments to encourage continuous improvement and create a single language to be used by information technology and business to help communication and understanding.
•	Created an internal training program combining ITIL and Six Sigma methodologies to build an analytic based culture.  With the help of upper management, this methodology is still in place today.
