👋 I’m Josh and I bring over 15 years’ experience building comprehensive and strategic marketing programs in competitive markets. I’m motivated to lead teams with a solid strategic narrative. Some of my best work has been cross-functional projects involving GTM strategy and pricing, where quantitative and qualitative analysis intersect to reduce sales friction and amplify results. I used to feel like a tech outsider before I joined ExactTarget as an SDR. From there my career progressed to AE ➞ Product Mkt ➞ Product Director ➞ interim VP Product ➞ Head of Marketing. But it wasn't all roses. One of the startups I joined was struggling and I got laid off. It made me question if what I had to contribute was actually valuable. At that point, I cold emailed the editor of The Hustle to contribute a few articles about business strategy and industry analysis. Writing forced me to confront my inner fear head-on. I found a renewed energy for B2B marketing (with emotion). As a dynamic and hands-on leader, I recruit high-performing teams based on a positive culture of psychological safety and experimentation.
