I currently work on preventing and remediating bad experiences for Creators on Facebook. Previously, I led a team focused on Community Norms where I developed a product strategy to balance platform commitments to community safety and free expression. We built and tested novel forms of community governance, focused on member participation and admin accountability. As a PM I've also worked in Trust & Safety for Workplace, Facebook's communication and collaboration solution for businesses, and Messenger Kids where I focused on child safety, data privacy, and security. My work as a PM combines an interest in community support through machine learning and a passion for developing new features and products that support self-remediation.

Product Manager

I was responsible for safety product counsel and the implementation of “Safety by Design” principles across a large range of consumer products, including Facebook Dating, Messenger, and Messenger Kids.

Embedded in cross-functional launch review and go-to-market process alongside Legal, Privacy, Marketing and Communications teams, I developed long term product commitments and new product plans to ensure Facebook's industry leadership on comprehensive product safety, from physical harm avoidance to the promotion of mental health and well-being.

Safety Policy Manager, Product

My focus was on launching privacy-sensitive products and managing and marketing the consumer portion of policy announcements. I work closely with Communications, Policy, Privacy and Legal cross functional teams as the lead product marketer. My core contributions are in market research and insights, launch positioning, direct to user communication, and downstream awareness and activation campaigns.

Nearby Friends (real time location sharing with friends) 
Place Tips (bluetooth beacons to help small businesses surface interesting content at the right time) 
Moments (private photo sharing in a standalone app)

Policy Announcements I've worked on include:
2014 Data Policy Update (included shipping Privacy Basics)
Ad Preferences and OBA (giving people more control over the ads they see)
Updating the Teens Experience (enabling teens to post publicly on Facebook)

Mirth is a principled objection to the frenzy of deals.  It offers local businesses ways to interact with and reward their customers to encourage repeat business. I founded Mirth, launched it at TechCrunch Disrupt NYC in May 2012, and currently manage our sales and marketing efforts.  I share product strategy and operations responsibilities with my co-founder.

ArtBinder is a brilliant way for galleries to share and display a curated selection of their works on the iPad.  I built the product development and QA process that led to a successful private beta launch in June 2011 and public beta launch in September 2011.  I also designed and execute the sales and marketing strategy.

I developed Temboo's internet marketing strategy, including site optimization (product demo video production, trial account signup UX, and conversion analysis).  I also managed and optimized a $15,000 monthly advertising budget at strategically selected publishers; these efforts resulted in 50-100 high quality leads per month

I consulted on marketing strategy for the site launch and also designed revenue models.  I conducted a complete alpha stage redesign, including user interface design.  I also restructured backend data management practice.

I ran marketing initiatives for both new user acquisition and current user commitment.  I developed strategic partnerships with online businesses such as financial literacy sites and finance/investing publishers.

Experienced consumer product management and marketing professional with a focus on privacy sensitive product launches and policy announcements. Formerly at early stage consumer (and some enterprise) startups focused on online marketing, business development, product launch and growth strategy. I've also invested in several early stage tech and CPG startups, and in 2020 I started a naturally flavored sparkling water called Mirth.
