We’re at war. Newly released Federal Trade Commission data show that US consumers reported losing more than $12.5 billion to fraud in 2024, a 25% increase over 2023. The adversary is tireless and highly motivated to stay on the battlefield to make money the easy way. Anyone with a smartphone and access to the internet, especially social media, is a combatant and the vast majority of us are defenseless. There are somewhat costly solutions but none of them have enormous scale - a requirement for winning the war. Through technological developments in automation we can achieve the scale required to gather and organize adversarial signal and prevent new threat vectors early to achieve collective security.

I currently work on preventing and remediating bad experiences for Creators on Facebook. Previously, I led a team focused on Community Norms where I developed a product strategy to balance platform commitments to community safety and free expression. We built and tested novel forms of community governance, focused on member participation and admin accountability. As a PM I've also worked in Trust & Safety for Workplace, Facebook's communication and collaboration solution for businesses, and Messenger Kids where I focused on child safety, data privacy, and security. My work as a PM combines an interest in community support through machine learning and a passion for developing new features and products that support self-remediation.

Product Manager

I was responsible for safety product counsel and the implementation of “Safety by Design” principles across a large range of consumer products, including Facebook Dating, Messenger, and Messenger Kids.

Embedded in cross-functional launch review and go-to-market process alongside Legal, Privacy, Marketing and Communications teams, I developed long term product commitments and new product plans to ensure Facebook's industry leadership on comprehensive product safety, from physical harm avoidance to the promotion of mental health and well-being.

My focus was on launching privacy-sensitive products and managing and marketing the consumer portion of policy announcements. I work closely with Communications, Policy, Privacy and Legal cross functional teams as the lead product marketer. My core contributions are in market research and insights, launch positioning, direct to user communication, and downstream awareness and activation campaigns.

Mirth is a principled objection to the frenzy of deals.  It offers local businesses ways to interact with and reward their customers to encourage repeat business. I founded Mirth, launched it at TechCrunch Disrupt NYC in May 2012, and currently manage our sales and marketing efforts.  I share product strategy and operations responsibilities with my co-founder.
